You did a fine job, but I never could do it. I'm more in the overview camp. And I will listen to it based on the fact that you say it's so wonderful. But here's my question - the lowest grade for any song is an A- and there are not too many of those. So - based on this, I would expect this show to be considered one of the great shows of all time. Is it? Or the greatest first set? In a month of the Winterland series and UCLA three days earlier, is this better? At least let us know how the rest of the book turns out. :)

Good point. With so many shows and so many versions of the same song, it seems almost impossible to grade a single example fairly on such a limited scale (even moreso with the 5 star system here). I like Cliff's 100 point scale; gives a lot more room for marking the subtle difference between performances.
